At the heart of the Z6III is Nikon’s first partially-stacked 24.5MP CMOS sensor and EXPEED 7 processor. This powerful combination offers advanced multi-subject detection autofocus inherited from Nikon’s flagship models, extraordinary low-light focus detection and a blazing fast electronic shutter capable of continuous shooting up to 120 fps. Bright, high-resolution, wide color gamut EVF supports comfortable viewing even with fast frame rates. Video features include 6K/60p internal RAW and Full HD/240p capture for 10X slow motion.
VIDEO – 6K/60p Internal N-RAW video recording + oversampled 4K UHD, 4K/120p, Full HD/240p slow motion, Hi-Res Zoom up to 2x digital zoom during HD recording, 1.4x during 4K recording, line-in audio, professional monitoring tools and more.
BEST IN CLASS EVF – Max brightness of 4000 nits gives a clear, vibrant view even in very bright conditions; 5760k-dot resolution and premium viewfinder optics mean clear detailed viewing; 120 fps maximum refresh rate gives natural, lifelike motion even when shooting fast action; and an expanded color gamut equivalent to DCI-P3 ensures more accurate reproduction of delicate tones.
WIDE ISO RANGE – ISO sensitivity range of 100-64000, with extended range up to Hi 1.7 (equivalent to ISO 204800).
IMPROVED AUTOFOCUS – AF detection down to -10EV, with sophisticated multi-subject recognition, enhanced by Nikon’s Deep Learning technology. AF is approx. 20% faster than the Z6II and accurate detection of human faces as small as ~3% of the frame.
FLEXIBLE PICTURE CONTROL – Get the look you want–create your desired color profile in NX Studio and upload it as a Custom Picture Control directly to your Z6III.

    Lovely Mirrorless Camera!
Great camera, moving from a D5000 to this. Autofocus is snappy. Functionality is great. More could be done on Nikon’s part to integrate seamlessly with other providers such as Google Photos, but I guess, these are just software inconveniences. Works as prosumer DSLR. It would be nice if there was additional battery pack. But that’s not a show stopper. The 24-70mm f/4 is super crisp and does much well even in low light or dark scenes. I can only imagine what a faster lens will produce. It doesn’t come with a carry case, which is a little letdown at this price point. The weight is considerably more than a cropped camera, but descent enough to log around even with a kit 24-70mm.So far, I love the piece. Buy on sale and you’re even great!

    Best in class Photo Video
This camera is an absolute steal if you are planning on doing both photo and video work. Perfect for one man bands that need a painless, trustworthy camera body for your client work. The consistent updates with red color, image looks, and new features should make you excited for what’s to come. I highly recommend as this all in one mirrorless camera.

    Low light king!
Excellent camera for lowlight photography when combined with the right lenses. I’m a concert photographer and normally I’m shooting at 4/1.8 to f/1.4 and on rare occasions f/2.8. This camera is amazing at the high iso’s that I shoot at. This can be anywhere between 6400 and 20000. The camera is fast and mine has been reliable. My current shutter count is over 273,000 even though the shutter is rated for 200,000. I only use mechanical shutter for indoor concerts, and I use the electronic shutter for daytime or outdoor lighting. I do not get any banding at concerts with the mechanical shutter. I use this and the Nikon zf and I’m looking forward to picking up another Z6iii. The Z8 and Z9 are unusable for me as they only have an electronic shutter.

The High Resolution Electronic Viewfinder Makes All the Difference
Before this I owned a Sony a7 IV and from day one I hated shooting with it. Before that I had owned two Canon Rebel DSLR’s back to back. I thought the Sony would be a huge upgrade, and specs-wise, it was. But the Sony EVF was awful and impossible to focus with my collection of manual focus lenses, even with peaking assist on. Other photographers told me I’d get used to it and of course an electronic viewfinder would be worse than an SLR but that’s the sacrifice we make to go mirrorless. Also, color reproduction of the Sony files was just a little wonky compared to Canon and took extra steps in post to get looking good. After 4 years of barely using my a7 IV, I decided to try the Nikon z6iii and seriously, its 5.76 million-dot EVF makes all the difference (The Sony a7 IV’s is 3.68m-dot). Sure it’s still no DSLR viewfinder, but I can almost tell when something is actually in focus even without peaking turned on. With the a7 IV everything always looked equally pixelated. Shooting manual focus lenses with the Nikon z6iii is intuitive and enjoyable. That’s the most important selling point for me. The Nikon menu system is not as well organized as my Sony or Canon was, and I do miss the extra configurable knob of the a7 IV, but these are minor annoyances that only took a week to get over.

    Great Mirrorless camera.
First mirrorless camera purchase, coming from a Nikon D5 and D500. I wanted the Z8 but couldn’t justify the $2K more and the reviews were great on this body for the price. You need to lower the shots per shutter or you’ll end up with 1000 shots quickly. Very light weight, little small if you have average hands, so I’ll be looking at a battery pack if they have one like I did with my D500.The auto focuse is very quick, it has bird and jet settings which is why I bought this. Learning curve wasn’t steep coming from my D5 body.

    Amazing Camera
I am upgrading from the Nikon Z6II and couldn’t be happier. This is a phenomenal camera in every sense. Auto focus is head over heals better than my Z6II. The z6II is a great camera that takes great pictures, but I love the improvements made. I would give 6 stars if I could. Highly recommended.

I recently purchased the Nikon Z6III from Amazon, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. The camera’s performance is outstanding, with its impressive image quality and fast autofocus. The build quality is solid, and it’s comfortable to hold, making it perfect for long shoots. The low-light performance is exceptional, and the battery life is more than adequate for my needs. Overall, the Nikon Z6III has exceeded my expectations and is a fantastic addition to my photography gear. Highly recommended!PS: from a Nikon Z9 user

This camera is an impressive tool for video shooters, but it does come with a few quirks. The partially stacked sensor causes some flickering in low to medium ISO settings, particularly up to ISO 5400. Additionally, noise levels can be noticeable between ISO 3200 and 5400. However, once you reach the second native ISO at 6400, the flickering disappears, and the sensor performs incredibly well, delivering virtually zero noise. On the positive side, the battery life is phenomenal, easily outlasting most cameras in its class. The handling is top-notch, making it a joy to use, and the ability to shoot RAW internally is a huge advantage for filmmakers. Image quality, once you work within its strengths, is excellent, especially in challenging lighting conditions.Another major benefit is the versatility of the Nikon Z mount, which allows for the use of Sony E-mount lenses with an adapter. For example, I used a Voigtlander Sony FE lens, and the results were outstanding, showcasing the adaptability of this system. If you’re looking to up your video game with a compact, powerful camera that handles beautifully and delivers incredible results at higher ISOs, this is an excellent choice. Despite minor issues with flickering and mid-ISO noise, the strengths, like stellar battery life and RAW recording, make it highly recommended.
