Good for post surgery
My husband just had rotator cuff surgery and this ice machine is great. It is easy to set up and keeps cold for a long time, use frozen water bottles, instead of ice. It helps provide the relief needed post surgery.

This ice machine has been in use for 6 days post surgery and has functioned beautifully!!I have used frozen water bottles and a frozen gel pack. It is astonishing how how it stays cold. I have have no problems with any water leakage. Quiet. Easy to use and is so helpful with pain! I got the universal pad for a knee and a shoulder. Perfect size with strong Velcro wraps.

Have been using this for one month at least 3 x per day after shoulder surgery and it is truly helpful. Wanted the soft side cooler type for convenience and size but the reviews were not stellar for many of them. Broke down and spent more $$ for this hard side cooler version and glad I did. Works great. No leaking. Just be sure to connect the hose properly to the cooler (listen for a click). Sleeve/pad is easy enough to drape. Straps a little more involved. Be sure to keep the water level over the motor.

Definitely worth the purchase!
This thing is incredible! I’ve used it every day for 4 weeks and had zero issues. It stays very cold all day and the pad is really soft. No problem at all getting it on my knee. I was able to take it in the car and plug it in on a 6 hour car trip and was thrilled. It’s also so quiet I had to wonder if it was on.***For the few people that have mentioned the occasional leak- you need to flip your tube connection to the unit over so the release button is on the bottom.

Easy pain relief
I bought this when it was suggested I rent a machine for 2 weeks for $350 US. I figured this was a much better idea. It was! This has helped me so much. I tried using Reusable ice packs, but they got warm too quickly. Frozen water bottles are the best. I haven’t had any leaking so far, but it has only been a week. VERY easy for me to transport myself in my non dominant hand. Once I got the initial bulky bandages off on the 3rd day, I am able to put on/take off myself. I would definitely recommend this product.

Great for recovery
Great product to help manage pain post shoulder surgery! It doesn’t get incredibly cold, but it’s nice to have cool water flowing consistently. Pretty easy to set up and use. There was only slight leakage when we would disconnect the hoses to put away, but easy to deal with. No leakage was found during the use of the product. Great item to have during recovery!

Perfect for after shoulder surgery
I had a reverse shoulder replacement and everyone told me to get an ice machine to apply cold therapy to my shoulder. This little machine was perfect. I’ve put it on the floor next to my recliner chair and I just attach it to my shoulder at night while watching tv, turn it on and sit an enjoy. I put 4 frozen bottles of water in it and keep replacing the melted bottles in the freezer. It has a handle so it’s easy to carry. It was so funny when it first arrived, because my spouse and i just looked at each other and said, “Who ordered a cooler?” It looks like a cooler! But then we laughed when we realized what it was. I can time it for 20 minutes and then it shuts off automatically; but I cannot program it to turn on for 20 minutes, turn off for 20 minutes and then turn on for another 20 minutes. The water cord also has a tendency to twist up, but that doesn’t seem to affect the use of it. The plug in cord is plenty long enough

Better shoulder pad than Polar Active Ice 3.0 version
I bought this and the Polar Active Ice 3.0 version recommended by my surgeon. After completing the shoulder surgery, neither the surgeon nor his staff could figure out how to fit the Polar version pad on me and gave up on it.They had no issues with fitting this pad. And the machine worked great.
