A great travel tablet that does it all
I own the earlier version of the ADreamer 10.1 2in1 Win11 PC, and am reviewing the latest version now. Didn’t like sharing with the wife when traveling, so getting another. The clean Win11 Home install went without a hitch. Had this new PC configured and running in 35 minutes right out to the well packaged shipping box. This touch tablet is built like a tank. I also have a very light plastic laptop and prefer the solid frame and glass touch screen on the ADreamer. My plastic laptop feels like the screen could break every time I open it. This is solid. The earlier version of this model has a permanent keyboard attachment, and this one is more like the Surface tablet with magnets holding the keyboard in place. The magnets are a little on the weak side, so moving the tablet from a table to the lap, well, things get a little disconnected, though snap right back in place. The keyboard on this new model is backlight, so that’s a great addition. The magnets on the keyboard should be revised to a stronger ‘snap type’ like on a Surface tablet so that moving the unit is no longer an issue. The tablet keyboard is small, but very easy to get use to for error free typing. There is no delay switching between windows, as it has plenty of memory and a fast SSD to multitask. All my web based TV streaming, Movies, Email, and just browsing on the web runs well without having to close windows to make things run faster. Wifi 6 at 5GHZ makes streaming a breeze. The multi USB ports are nice and accommodate all my add-on peripherals nicely. The screen is bright and sharp though the backlight edges show slightly when booting. It’s about 3/8” thick, but not a problem, as the metal frame and glass are much preferred over a less expensive plastic unit. All in all, a pretty good machine well worth the price. It’s about the size of an Amazon fire PC with lots more power and whistles. It boots in seconds, is fast without any noticeable lags, and quiet. Definitely worth a look, and greatly upgraded from the earlier version of this unit. Well done ADreamer!
