Sound quality and purchase experience review.
This was purchased “used” from Amazon. If it didn’t have an inspected sticker on it, I would not have been able to tell. All the little plastic bags with cords and such were unopen (new?). So 5 Stars for the “used” aspect of this purchase.I own the 75 inch TCL Roku TV that this sound bar was designed for so connection and setup was almost completely automated. So 5 starts for integration.. of course that should be the easy one for my situation.Now the most important aspect; the quality of sound. In my TV placement the TV speaker fails me since it is not against a wall (the TV is in a corner). So the sound from the TV is inconsistent and unbalanced. Thus the need for a sound bar and sub woofer. For the money this sound bar and subwoofer are fantastic. The sound quality is much better than expected. I only wanted to balance the TV audio to make some movies and TV shows more watchable without turning on the big audio system I have connected to the TV (for Blu-ray and music purposes). The big audio system is a discrete amp and 3.1 speakers connected to the TV. I was able to test the sound quality against of this sound bar against my big audio system. For the purposes of leveling out and balancing audio they both do the job very well. The dialog is a bit crisper on the sound bar/sub over the big audio system. For me that is a huge win.5 stars for the audio quality.Where this soundbar / sub falls short is the subwoofer should be one size bigger. The sound bar and sub don’t perform as well with Disaster movies since the sub should be a bit bigger. In regards to music, I’m a hard rock guy, so I need full spectrum audio, lots of low, plenty of mid, and crisp highs. Again the soundbar/sub did well but not as good as the big system. Don’t take this as a knock on the soundbar/sub. This sound bar and sub costs one tenth of what my big system cost so I’m very happy with the purchase and the quality. I would recommend.

Fantastic Price for a fantastic product
I decided to take a chance after reading a number of reviews where this was purchased “used”. I have got to say, the only thing that looked used was the box it came in. All the equipment was in the original plastic and sealed bags. The speakers were wrapped in that plastic sheeting used to protect it during shipping and it looked factory fresh. Saved over 40% with that purchase. Value for the money is a understatement. So, 5 stars just for that. Set up was easy and everything worked out of the box the way that it was supposed to, which was a new experience for me. It was easy to connect to the TV and Apple TV that I have. Sound is fantastic. I would purchase again.

Realistically I think this small sized low cost soundbar system is big improvement over TV sound.
Am I saying this is as good as a quality home theater system that costs maybe 4 or 5X the cost of this soundbar system no but I’m saying it sounds much better than I expected it to. No mess no fuss setup with TCL Roku TV in my case. One wire HDMI hookup to TV and wireless to subwoofer. Plug the sub into the AC and you’re on your way to an easy setup and enjoying a big improvement over the in TV sound system. That little subwoofer does an amazing job for what it is. Nice slim design on the soundbar too. Nice it even says HELLO from behind the speaker grill cloth when the TV is powered up. Audiophile snobs won’t be buying a system like this but I bet you could blind test many of them between this and a middle of the road home theater setup and many of them probably couldn’t tell the difference. I can but given the easy setup and lack of wires running all over the room I’m very happy with this soundbar system. To me it offers so much improvement over the in TV sound without the extra cost and complexity of a large costly proper home theater system that it offers the perfect solution to my situation. Great job TCL on making a value oriented soundbar system work this well. I’m only sorry I didn’t pick this model up sooner.

Amazing sound but the instructions on how to setup and add the wireless bass is terrible. They don’t even tell you how to do that. I had to look it up online.

Talk about bang for your buck
I received my tcl 4k alto8+2.1.2 and hooked it up to my brand new tcl 65 inch fire tv that I have in my tv/game room . First off it came in the factory box in perfect condition. I think it’s brand new and not a refurbished A not a mark on it and B when I went to register it online at TCL , instead of a 90 warranty that comes with virtually all refurbished products , it gave me the full 1 year way. Set up could not have been easier . Does it sound as good as my Polk audio magnifi system ? Not exactly . Nor did I expect it to. But it sounds way better than I expected and much better than the Samsung it’s replacing. I paid $55 for this and it’s worth every penny . I see now that Amazon has more in stock from their Amazon resale store for $13 more. Buying one for my bedroom now. I’ve never had an issue with any TCL product before . Outside of my main tv , that’s what I have owned for my kids and basement and bedroom since around 2017 . If you need a super affordable upgrade for your tv sound you can’t go wrong . One remote to control my tv& sound system is super convenient.
