While no longer the year of the dragon, this headset is still legendary.
As a long time PC gamer, this is probably the best headset I’ve ever owned. I’ve rotated through a lot of brands; Razer, HyperX, Skullcandy. But I think SteelSeries is where I’ll be purchasing from for now on. I’ve had the headset so far for two weeks and have almost nothing but compliment to say about it. First, it’s extremely stylish. Red is usually reserved for accents on gaming headsets, typically paired with black. But with the year of the dragon edition, red takes center stage and is instead accented with a beautiful gold color. Second, it fits perfectly and is comfortable to wear for extended hours at a time (so far I’ve had sessions of about 12 hours with it). The cuffs on the headset are very soft, but have a strong form as well so they fit great around the ear. And the top of the headset is cushioned with a soft fabric band. Bonus points for the band as it has a dragon scale pattern carved into it.Third, it offers a lot of versatility for connection methods. It includes a 3.5mm cable for wired connection, wireless connection via a USB-C dongle (which comes with a USB-C to USB-A adapter), and simultaneous pairing via Bluetooth. This means I have no problems using it with my phone, tablet, PC, laptop, steam deck, or even 3DS.Where it could improve is it’s microphone. The microphone is by no means bad, but leaves a bit to be desired. Thankfully SteelSeries Sonar, the PC companion for SteelSeries’ headsets, allows you to heavily customize your mic to your hearts content. You can use it to adjust the sensitivity, noise gate, EQ, and much more. Not only can you modify your mic, but the audio that you’re listening to as well. The audio out of the box sound fantastic don’t get me wrong, but SteelSeries Sonar allows you to modify the audio of whatever you’re watching or playing, letting you fine tune if you want to hear more bass out of your music or better isolate footsteps or directional audio in your games. However, the headset can be used perfectly fine without SteelSeries sonar.I’ll probably come back in about 6 months to update this review, as I’ve seen a few people mention long-term degradation of the headset. I’m so hoping this isn’t the case, as this headset has blown me out of the water so far my expectations for it are pretty high.

    Love it so far!
Now that I’ve had this headset for around a month, I feel confident that I really like it. It sounds very nice and the different audio presets available with the app are easy to change and fun to mess around with, too. I’m not an audio snob, but I do a lot of heavy gaming and use my computer daily for many hours and I’ve not once regretted the purchase. It also doesn’t suffer from an issue my last headset had where it was way too easy to accidentally slide the volume up and down with the wheel. It also comes with a 3.5 audio cable and allows for wired connections! I’m not sure why this seemed to be such a hidden feature, almost, but the only place I saw a mention of it was on their website forum. Maybe I missed it, though! The simultaneous connection with my phone + computer has been really great, too. Answering phone calls in the middle of games or studying, for example, is just… so much better. I guess I never even thought I’d like it as much as I do!I will say, the main complaint I’d have with it is that almost no one I talk to online likes the mic. It’s not AWFUL… and using Nvidia Broadcast makes it much better, but I will be sticking with my desk mic for most communications.Pros:- Simultaneous connections- Quality is great- App and program is better than most I’ve used- Looks sleek, not overly “gamer”- Fits comfortably- Feels very sturdyCons:- Mic quality is not great

    Nice headsets.
Really good headsets overall.Premium built quality, solid materials but not heavy, in fact they are very comfortable to wear even with glasses.Solid/good sound, mic could be better for the price range but is not a deal breaker for me. Companion mobile app is very complete and full of options.Connectivity wise this headset is probably the best you can find for that price tag.

This should be the standard (Except the mic)
The headset is super light and beautiful, the range also allows me to keep connected for those quick runs to get water between matches. Due to its light construction you definitely don’t wanna be rough with it, it’s got a lot of metal but also that only goes so far, it’s not that durable. The sound quality is perfect, the program you need to install allows you to alter the sound whatever way you want, I believe this should be the standard of audio quality. One complaint is that it is just the standard, it’s not like some miracle making you feel it. Just gives you the sound you need in a clear, smooth way. Biggest complaint, this headset does not under any circumstance have even a moderately good microphone, it will work maybe 10% of the time, less so if you have ANY facial hair, the mic will sound cancel your own voice and even when set to 200% on discord with the mic orally installed next to your vocal cords it sounds like youre whispering at bestThe value of this headset is dependent on how you use it, I have used it mostly for gaming, watching movies and just going out for a walk and I am quite happy with my purchase. The dual-channel between Bluetooth an it’s dongle means you can be scrolling things on your phone all you want without interrupting your gameplay. It holds a charge easily for 2 nights of straight action an can charge in a matter of minutes compared to the hours you spend with it (if I had to speculate the time to charge conversion is something like 6 minutes of charge for every hour of play)

I didn’t like the price… for me it was a bit too high but after a few weeks of owning them they are impeccable quality. They have a nice weight to them they sound beautiful. You sound great in the microphone. Overall fantastic headphones. Super easy to connect and to navigate didn’t need instructions to use my first time. I would recommend them. The magnetic plates that go on to headphones on the exterior are nice touch if you want to change tlthe dragon images.

After 1 month of use, the USB-C conector stopped working, and you can see why in the picture.I only use it 3 or 4 times and suddenly that happened.Im pretty sure that it was a manufacturing defect, cuz I’m extremely careful with my stuffs, and I have no pets.Anyway, this shouldn’t happened, but at least, is easy to replace.Good soundComfyNot heavyGood signal distanceI just hope it keeps working next month.

Audio was pretty decent out of the box. Using them primarily for game chat on my PS5, so not overly concerned about tuning them as I would if it was a headset for PC.The range of the wireless is AWFUL. Currently have my PS5 in my living room and when I go to the kitchen to get water, the audio quality starts to degrade and my friends say I sound “robotic and choppy”. My main level is open concept and the kitchen is LITERALLY beside my living room so I’m MAYBE 10-15 steps away from the console. If I would have known it was going to be this bad I wouldn’t have bought this headset.
