There is a lot of hate going around for this game – but as a gamer and a huge Star Wars fan I think it’s great. Not perfect, but a fun game that I can’t get enough of after playing it since it’s release.Should they have included a campaign? Sure – but you buy these types of games for the multiplayer anyways, so I don’t see this as a big deal.Could there be more levels? Yeah, but the included levels are varied, beautiful, and an absolute blast to play. The free Jakku levels and mode are also an excellent addition. Tons of modes, lots of which can actually be a lot of fun (even the seemingly silly Droid Run).Is it as strategic as Battlefield? No, but I find that to be part of its appeal. There have been complaints against weapon selections and loadouts. I find the system of having two loadouts and the option to choose your partner’s loadout after each death to be plenty flexible to adapt during games. I would welcome a secondary weapon – but some of the loadout cards fulfill that for the most part.I would highly recommend the game to Star Wars fans or anyone looking for a casual shooter with some epic battles with great graphics and sound.

Great for Star Wars fans, not-so-great for first-person shooter enthusiasts
Been playing this off and on for the last couple months and am mostly enjoying the game. The graphics are amazing, and they’ve done an exceptional job at making you feel like you’re in the movies. This game absolutely fulfills the fantasy of being in the movies, playing as your favorite hero or villain, commanding an AT-AT or AT-ST, or a number of other vehicles on the many battlefields found within the Star Wars universe. The space battles leave a lot to be desired, but I understand those should get an upgrade in one of the future expansion packs.I didn’t purchase the season pass and am satisfied with the amount of content in the game currently.Originally the game was littered with players cheating via aimbots (auto aim hacks) and ESP hacks (shows enemy players on the mini-map and even behind corners). While they made some early attempts to target and ban these players, each new patch brings another crop of them and it takes another week or two for EA’s detection systems to weed them out again.If EA can get a handle on the cheaters, improve the matchmaking, make a few minor balance tweaks (A-Wings dominate the sky), and continually roll out new maps, heroes, game modes, etc., Star Wars: Battlefront will be a game that could stand the test of time.

well i didnt think this would happen, but im giving a not so good review of starwars battlefront. first off: i ignored the bad reviews because i figured it was just a case of different people like different things. and i still agree with that and do not regret my decision to purchase this game ( but i only paid 28 dollars for it plus 2 day free shipping so…..) not much loss there. anyway, the game is awesome and i love it, here comes the but, it has issues. some glitchy stuff with the characters faces in the menu, and sometimes the controller response is not noticed by the game. the main thing i wanted to say is that there is a message that shows up saying slow connection to server. i have very good internet connection ( better than most people complaining about the same issue ) so i know its not on my end. i was able to fix most of the lag. but its hard to tell really when there is no kill cam like COD.i think thats on purpose, so people cant tell how bad it lags (not just for this game, but all no kill cam games). i believe that the lag got better because it took longer for people to kill me. then i could see how terrible my aim is, lol. no aim assist….didnt realize how much that matters until now…..the difference between COD and starwarsBF……no aim assist, that im aware of anyway. the graphics, the mechanics, the sound, the game modes, all are very good, but there is something wrong with trying to play online multiplayer that makes the game not fun to play. im not the best gamer in the world by a long shot, but im no slouch to online shooter games…..this game makes me feel like a complete noob. im lucky to break even. there are people getting super good scores and im happy to break even. i know my aim isnt the best right now on this game but after some research i realized that there are alot of people having issues with this game, and im actually not experiencing even half of what other people are experiencing. for me the sign that something was off is the slow connection to server message that pops up in the menu of multiplayer, and the face glitches of the characters. at first i thought i just had to get use to the game, but then realized it didnt matter. i would think i was doing good and then i see my score and think, dang…all that work for that score…F this. no matter what i did in terms of playing the game, strategy, sticking with my team, getting better at aiming, it did not matter, terrible scores always, everytime. except when playing the air assault missions and thats because there are a lot of AI bots. so to conclude this long crappy review. its an awesome game, but online multiplayer sucks because of issues with things that i have no control over.!!!
