Bought “used like new” everything looks ok but there was no wallmount kit in the box and it is supposed to come with it… sure i saved some money and i wasnt really thinking to mount it on the wall but still…. if there is missing parts i wouldn’t say its like new

A very sound addition for a fuller experience, especially with movies.
It’s cool! The impact is immediate and visible. –
With my Samsung woofer, my home is like a music studio. You need to have one to truly comprehend the experience. It’s a pleasurable musical journey!

This is the thinnest, sleekest serious full featured soundbar that I’ve ever used especially for one with height channels. Being slim didn’t mean it ended up looking cheap or feeling flimsy, it has a premium build and feel. The sub is not too large and the design is definitely not on the ugly side. I’d say compared to our Bose soundbar (with a not insignificantly higher MSRP) at another TV, it’s not quite as premium as the Bose but it is close and considering the Bose costs more and doesn’t come with a sub I think it’s a good value. As a whole, this system gets much louder than you’d expect for the size and it certainly gets as loud as I personally would ever care to use it. The loudness doesn’t devolve into noticeable distortion, the sound remains clean through the whole volume range. Highs and mids are great for movies, and quite acceptable for music. Unsurprisingly because it’s so slim, it does rely on the subwoofer quite a lot and more than I personally like as it feels like some of what I’d think of as midrange does seem to get boosted by the subwoofer but with some placement experimentation it was easy enough to not make the sub sound too localized so I think it’s fine. Overall, my Bose without a sub has a more pleasing mid range all around and definitely better bass when used solo but the S800D has it soundly beat for pure boom when the subwoofer comes into play. The surround performance is not something I can fairly judge as my space is all open concept and on the large size in general so it’s a substandard situation without enough nearby surfaces to bounce against but the height channels are definitely still impressively noticeable. One thing I badly wish this sound bar had given it is in the premium segment was more HDMI inputs beyond just the eARC which would make having clean installations of other devices like game consoles etc. much easier. If one of your top priorities is getting good audio performance with the smallest visible footprint, I think this is definitely worth consideration and I think the price is fair for what you’re getting when compared against our more expensive soundbar with similar features.

Long gone are the days when I’d set up speakers in every corner of the room, and I’ve had a preference for soundbars ever since they could deliver impressive Dolby Atmos audio. The Samsung HW-S800D is by far the slimmest sound bar I’ve owned, and it makes my Sony soundbar look comically large. But with the slim design comes audio that I wouldn’t have expected to come out of such a small soundbar. This model includes a subwoofer, which is also appropriately small compared to my previous subwoofer, but it does delivery a rich bass to compliment the highs and mids from the soundbar itself.I do NOT have a Samsung TV, and from what I understand, some features (like Wireless Dolby Atmos and Q-Symphony) are restricted to Samsung TVs only, which is a bummer. That said, if you do have a Samsung TV and want big sound from a smaller soundbar, this would be my first choice. If you don’t have a Samsung TV, this soundbar still offers some impressive features like Chromecast, or the voice enhance and voice amplifier modes.Connectivity is slim, however. While it does offer wifi and bluetooth, there aren’t many ports. You only get a single HDMI in, which kind of sucks. My Sony has at least four inputs.I will touch on one feature that I’ve grown to love, and that’s the Active Voice Amplifier. Basically, it will amplify/enhance voice dialogue if it detects ambient noise that might otherwise interfere with your listening. One example is while using a robot vacuum or air filter that ramps up the fan when cooking. At the time of this review, the HW-S800D (with the soundbar and subwoofer) is listed for $999, which I think it’s an excellent value when size is a priority. If you have a compatible Samsung TV, then you get all the features this package has to offer.
