It grows on you – then surprises you
This is a hugely underrated lens, and also a lens that is really easy to under-appreciate. When I first bought it, the variable aperture left me a little cold, given I was so used to f/4 or f/2.8 constant aperture zoom lenses. However, when this lens is on my S9, I am far more likely to just toss it in a bag with me, or stick it in my jacket pocket. The focal length, too, is incredibly useful – and helped me become more comfortable and even enjoy the creativity that a wider focal length affords. It’s not perfect from an IQ perspective, but is good enough – and I consider the ultimate EDC when I head out for a quick walk or day out with the wife and kids. Obviously the super-power is the size, but don’t underrate that focal range

Just right
Very good zoom lens for the money and range. 14-40mm range fits my need and budget. Though their are way better lenses out there, most are way heavier or much more expensive. I bought it to get paired with the lumix s9, so weight was a consideration.
