nice action camera
I’ve only had the 4K Thumb Action Camera for a few days, but it has already made a strong first impression. The size is the first thing that surprised me—it’s truly as small as a thumb, which makes it incredibly easy to carry and mount. I’ve tried it while running and cycling, and the lightweight design makes it feel like it’s not even there.Even though I’ve only used it briefly, the 4K video quality looks sharp and clear. Motion is smooth, and the camera handles fast movements better than I expected for such a tiny device. The built-in 128GB storage is a huge plus, giving me more than enough space without needing memory card swaps.I also tested the waterproof feature in light rain and during a quick swim. So far, no issues at all—it seems well-sealed and reliable.Since I’ve only used it for a short period, I’m still getting used to the controls, but they’re simple enough to learn quickly. I’ve been really impressed with this 4K Thumb Action Camera. It truly lives up to its name—it’s about the size of a thumb, incredibly lightweight, and easy to carry or mount, making it perfect for POV recording while running, cycling, hiking, or just capturing casual outdoor activities. Once it’s mounted, you barely notice it’s there.For such a tiny camera, the video quality is surprisingly sharp and smooth, even during fast movement. The wide-angle lens gives a subtle fisheye effect up close but looks natural at a distance, and footage outdoors with good lighting looks especially nice. While it won’t replace a high-end action camera, it’s more than capable for fun, everyday recording and sports use.The built-in 128GB storage is a huge plus, so there’s no need to worry about swapping memory cards, and WiFi connectivity makes it easy to transfer videos to a phone or use the app as a remote. Battery life is better than expected for its size and charges quickly via USB-C.It also comes with an impressive set of accessories. Great little action camera for the price. The size is super compact and very convenient to use, especially for sports and outdoor activities. Remove the included micro SD card and use a fresh one if you have setup issues. I did & happy now.
Update: Okay scratch my initial review. The included/provided micro SD card was either bad or poorly formatted (or virus-laden? Nah, they wouldn’t do that.)Anyway, I inserted a brand new I formatted micro SD card to see if that was the problem area and indeed it was. The device works fine now. Records, takes photos, connects properly to WiFi, etc. the app works okay (not an award winner but it works.)Still the internet scammer “offering answers for $5” needs to go away. That’s so sus!Original review for perspective:If I could rate this 0 stars or better yet NEGATIVE 5 stars I would that in a heartbeat! WiFi refuses to stay connected. Directly plugging in my MacBook Pro fails because the included Micro SD card format is also not recognized by macOS. Thumb Sports Camera is NOT compatible with Apple products.But what really makes me angry is that the “Support” wants to charge me $5 just to answer questions with their product setup. WTF!???

This action camera is amazing. I love the size it’s very easy to handle and to mount on anything. I like I can also wear it as a necklace and record everything. The app is very easy to setup and the connection was pretty fast. The image has good quality, soon I’ll be using it for underwater.

Odd (bad) design choices, mostly problems with the app I think.
Posting a review partially in hopes that someone can tell me a few solutions.First, while it is bluetooth enabled, it also requires your phone to connect to it using WIFI to use the app (which is needed to use the camera). Of course, if your phone is using WIFI for the camera, it isn’t using WIFI for internet, and phones won’t use cellular internet while using WIFI, so your phone loses all access to the internet. Meaning if you wanted to bike while listening to a podcast or jog while watching youtube or even just lookup the hours of a park, you can’t without turning off the camera.Second, it seems to record in 3 minute clips? No idea why. I have editing software and can combine them, but it seems like it could use the memory to make one movie, not 15.Third, while I realize it is primarily for wearing, it is a camera, and the lack of zoom (and I know digital zoom doesn’t actually improve anything, but it at least lets you make the movie about the subject you want) is odd.Fourth, it has an LED light that could be used to blind people-during the day. I put 8 layers of painter’s tape over it and now the light is reasonable. 8 layers!
