Had all the features I wanted, plus great sound
I purchased this sound bar and also a Bose sound bar to compare, both were about the same price. I ended up keeping this one and returning the Bose, the main reasons were that they both sounded the same to me (couldn’t tell the difference in audio quality, but also note I’m not an audiophile – just a regular consumer), and the JBL had better features than the Bose. Here are the things I liked about the JBL:- Has an LCD display letting you know what is going on, including what the volume is (Bose doesn’t)- Has Ethernet for wired connectivity!- Supports ARC/eARC for easy auto-connection through HDMI. TV auto powers it on/off when you turn the TV on/off.- Has speakers on top and in front, for fuller sound- Has integrated sub-woofer which actually works pretty well. Not as good a separate sub-woofer, but pretty good.- Comes with a remote but I never use it (I just use the regular TV remote, which controls the volume through the TV HDMI cable)- Has a sound calibration that you can use to calibrate the speakers based on the room settingOverall, I recommend this sound bar if you’re looking for a solid mid-range sound-bar.

For its price it’s excellent value. Easy set up. Sound quality is a vast improvement over the tv internal speaker. There are better ones out there but not for this price. Worth it!

HELLO – SETUP WIFI
This obnoxious message will flash at you every single time you turn on the soundbar. This sort of behavior needs to stop. Life is full of too many notifications, popups, and disruptions we don’t need. Whoever at JBL thought this was a good idea should be fired. I PAID for this product, please don’t harass me with messages like this you can’t remove. I, like most people, have no desire to connect an appliance like this needlessly to wifi. And I don’t need devices saying “hello” to me just because they have a display, and can.Other issues:1. midrange is severely lacking, voices are not clear. My 10 year old cheap soundbar did better.2. One of the screws broke in half, shockingly cheap metal.3. Clearance between cables and wall mount is poor, there is stress on my HDMI cable because of this. Plugs should be more recessed or at an angle like other soundbars do.I hate to have to leave a bad review like this but expected better from JBL.

PC connectivity issue
It sounds good to me. The problem is the connection. I can pair it to my PC easily enough, but this has two problems;1. It keeps turning off after a bit of inactivity, which means that I’m constantly turning it back on. Really annoying!2. Bluetooth is the lowest sound quality connection.I bought a usb cable to try to hook it up that way, but it doesn’t seem to do anything, and there is no USB connection when you cycle through the settings or located on the remote. Maybe this unit I got off Amazon isn’t the “US version.” Grr.JBL One app is not for PC.So I’m stuck turning it on frequently during a normal day use and listening through the worst connection available. Frustrating!

I have a 15 yr old Samsung non smart TV but it did come with Arc HDMI port. Connection setup through the HDMI cable did not work, needed to use fibre optic cable, not included. The rest of the set up went quickly and as per instructions. The sound and depth of imaging is outstanding for the price point. New movies are full of depth and colour of sound. Old movies are clear with an abundance of separation and always the voices are extremely clear. I’m impressed with this sound bar and would recommend it.

Très bien dans l’ensemble ; bon son, bons paramètres de son (équalizer), belle qualité, facile d’installation.Un gros bémol pour ma part, la déconnexion de la barre de son après seulement quelques minutes si on met le média sur pause… impossible de désactiver la fonction ni même d’augmenter le délai…Par exemple, si on met le média (film, émission, etc.) sur pause pour quelques minutes (+- 10 minutes), au retour il faut à nouveau ouvrir la barre de son, reconnecter au téléviseur et ajuster à nouveau le son puisqu’il est retourné à zéro. Avec de jeunes enfants, les moments “pause” sont une réalité et ça devient un irritant 😣Je trouve cette fonction désagréable et dérangeante… aucun moyen de la désactiver ni même de modifier le délai.

Esperaba un poco más de potencia y funciones. No se conecta de inmediato, hay que seleccionar desde el encendido. La configuración no se guarda, hay que volver a programar.
