Perfect for 35mm Lens – Amazing Macro Detail!
I attached the FotoZ HD snap-on macro lens to my Nikon with a 35mm lens, and it works beautifully! It lets me capture incredible close-up details with sharp clarity. Might be your macro starter kit
So I will start by saying this will not replace a macro lens for a DSLR camera. Sadly because this maxes out at 72 mm, l couldn’t put it on my two fastest lenses so I had to settle for my 70 to 180 f/2.8 lens. On a Nikon Z62 on that lens the auto focus seemed sluggish so I tried manually focusing, and that seemed a little sluggish so ultimately I switched to live view, and I manually focused as best I could, and then I physically moved the camera close to the subject to get the subject in focus, in this case the button on a remote control pictured above. Even at f/2.8 depth, the field was pretty shallow. That’s a product of this lens, not the lens I was using, so as stated this does not replace a true macro lens. But let me tell you what I think: it’s fun to play with these things especially right now when it’s cold outside and I’m not doing the things that I like to do with photography. So I will play with this push it to the limits. I’ll find an older lens that I want to use it on and see what I can do with it. This is what rainy day Sundays are for. But if you’ve never seen the world through a macro lens, this might be an inexpensive way to see what your camera can do because it does change your whole perspective and it is a way to grow your craft. So the product does deliver; I could not believe how close the front of my camera was to that remote control because that was not the focusing distance of the lens I was using. I just wish the adapter let me put it on a lens with a bigger barrel. This might be worth it for you. I’m going to keep playing.
