    smaller sized mirrorless camera.
First the bad thing: It does go through batteries… one per day easy. Make sure to get several and a charger. I got a charger that uses an USB port so I can charge on the fly with a USB power brick. Now the rest…. really good camera. Easy to use, great feedback when adjusting the non auto modes.. I took it on a one month trip after two weeks of buying it. Played with it for maybe 10 hours before we went.It has lots of features that I forgot how to use… perhaps a small laminated cheat sheet would make things easier… like a map of the very menus and instructions on the most likely uses: multiple shots, video, panorama, timer, etc… But if you want to take good pictures, the camera works very well. I ended up doing half my shooting in full auto mode and the other half in aperture and manual modes. The built in display works really well and I appreciate that old “mirror” sound when I take a shot.I put a 1TB card in it, took like 1000 shots in “high quality JPEG” and barely made a dent into the memory. I realize I should have stored them in RAW but this was for a vacation so I needed to make it fast and easy and the quality of the shots is very good. The bluetooth interface to my phone was painless, I should figure out how to run it with the PC. Right now I just pull the memory out of the camera and pop it into a reader to download to the PC.EDIT: OK, took another month trip. Took like 2500 pictures, made only a small dent in the 1TB storage.Eventually I figured out how to take the best pictures… Use the Program AE mode, then hold down the shutter midway and adjust the aperture mode. This returns, IMHO, the best pictures with this camera. In our last trip we ran into quite a few cloudy skies, which made for a bright sky. Taking exterior pictures of old temples was hard, so I made a point of over exposing the sky a little bit.It also works great for indoors. It’s likely more camera than I want, but for sure, it’s something you can easily grow into.Takes great pictures.Got three zoom lenses for it… 10-18, 18-45 and 18-150. The telephoto is the heavy lens, but indispensable for certain shots.A great camera.Oh, I got four batteries now.

    Great camera
The Canon EOS R10 is an exceptional camera that delivers professional-quality results in a compact and lightweight design. The image quality is stunning, with vibrant colors and sharp details, thanks to its impressive 24.2MP sensor and advanced DIGIC X processor. The autofocus system is a game-changer, with fast and accurate subject tracking, making it perfect for action shots, wildlife, or any fast-moving subjects. The camera’s versatility is another big plus. It performs equally well for stills and video, offering 4K recording with minimal crop and smooth slow-motion options. The built-in features like creative filters and shooting modes make it easy to experiment and get creative, even for beginners. The ergonomic design and intuitive touchscreen interface make it a pleasure to use, and the electronic viewfinder is clear and responsive. The R10’s lightweight body makes it great for travel and outdoor photography, but it doesn’t compromise on durability or build quality. The battery life is decent, and the connectivity options, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, make transferring files and remote shooting incredibly convenient.Overall, the Canon EOS R10 is an excellent choice for photographers of all levels, offering high-end features at a reasonable price point. Whether you’re a hobbyist or looking to step up your photography game, this camera won’t disappoint.

I recommend this over the R50, even though both are great cameras.
This is my upgraded choice from an R50. The R50 will take the same photos, is lighter and smaller, but has some feature drawbacks which affect usability: the R50 won’t accept older external flashes, has less menu choices, has a less bright view finder and rear screen, has no sensor cleaning feature (even my old digital Rebels had that feature), doesn’t use UHS-II feature on that type of SD cards but can use them anyway (it is compatible with UHS-I and cards and probably not a big deal to most users) and other lacks some other minor control features. I used an R50, but the lack of sensor cleaning and incompatibility with older flashes led me to upgrade to the R10. It’s larger and heavier, but it is still a “compact” size. I have the 18-150mm IS kit lens for indoor and outdoor use, and I also have an RF-30mm 2.8, which is a “pancake” super-compact for walk-around use when you don’t want to carry the larger zoom. I like the R50, but I like the R10 more, even though it is more expensive, larger, and heavier. I can use my old 430 EX flash left over from my DSLR days.

    Great camera. Versatile
My wife’s an aspiring photografer and she’s very happy with the results with this camera. All her friends are amazed by the quality of her photos and always ask which camera she uses. Definitely recommend this one.

    Great camera for beginners!
Bought this as my first “pro” camera ever and eventually returned it for the R7 only because it was kinda small for my big hands. However it’s a great camera that takes great pictures! If you have shaky hands like me i’d also recommend going with the R7 unless every lens you get has IS in it. IBIS on the R7 works great! The other downside to the R10 is the super tiny viewfinder. Not sure why but it seems to be cropped for no reason other than they wanted to cut corners to make it cheaper. Makes the other info screens almost unusable because you can’t even see your picture then with all the stuff on the sides. The lens is amazing and you should definitely go with this one over the other kit lens. It’s so versatile I rebought it with the R7 just so I have that 18-49 and 51-99 range that I am missing in my bag.

This R10 has been one of my favorites. It’s fast and simple. Use the fastest card. Still thinking Rebel T7… as this R10 was the first mirror-less I bought to replace the T7s. It’s handling some bigger zooms quite well but with no IBS the lens should have the “S”. unless everything is supported/stabilized. The price is a deal.Paired with SigmaEFs or CanonLs, no complaints. I’m Having Fun!
