Great turnkey package
I carried a Canon AF surshot for nearly 30 years. This outfit is well supplied, and Canon is a quality technology and lens manufacturer. My old Fujica 35mm film outfit from 1980 cost me nearly two thou. This is really a great value for the money. The uv and polarizer filter, telephoto and wide angle lenses, plus two high capacity Sandisk memory cards are really a bonus. It is a feature rich device, so be prepared to invest some time to master all the features, settings, and navigation. Practice. In the first 20 days I had it I took over 2000 pics, covering 4 events. It is a complete turnkey package and great value for a family shutterbug, tourist, documenter, and adventurer.

Good camera for beginners
Great camera, it has great picture quality, the battery life is around 3 hours, this is definitely a great beginner camera, but there are better out there, like the canon eos 7D that you can get for around $250 on ebay. the autofocus can be bad in live view, but great when you’re not in live view, and if you’re looking to shoot sports, i highly recommend buying a lens for this camera, it comes with a wide angle lens, and if you’re shooting sports, buy a 75-300mm lens. overall, it’s a great camera for portraits, sports, wildlife, etc. 5 stars!

Missing items
Great camera with an even better package. Everything needed to get started. Everything was also still in original packaging except the missing items. The battery even had the protective film, and there was a brand new camera strap. Unfortunately mine was missing the telephoto converter and wide angle with macros lens. The option to contact the seller is not present, and Amazon wanted a complete return to get the missing items.

The camera arrived quickly and as advertised. After almost a year of use the camera is excellent, no issues at all. Battery life is excellent, I can shoot for almost a whole day – medium to heavy use – before swapping in a new battery. The Picture quality is excellent – I shoot uncompressed -. For a beginner/hobbyist this is an excellent deal and well worth it.
